Selina's Letter

No one can not escape from the famous quote "so much to do, so little time". Says Lance Ettenhoffer. as a soldier in vietnam was Lance Ettenhoffer of Yakima Washington server from 1968 to 1971.

Nobody cannot wait to turn eighteen, you cango to the casino, get tattoos, well we have more freedim. it is one of the best birthdays you can get. well today in 2011 it is. however back in the day before i was born lance got the same opportunity but also had to apply for the military. currently today it is optional to apply for the military.

when Lance turned eighteen he got drafted. Lance then went to Marilyn for 7 months for training. After training he then served in veitnam for one year. after fighting he went to Savanna Georgia to the air force. as Lance fought his way through war being as strong as he could be, there was nothing more he could be afraid of was being killed or coming home in limbs.

Every one acts like they cannot wait to leave home. But tell you something "I left home leaving the one person i love the most, my mom". says Lance but once he left home he says it was the best thing that has happen to him. Lance got to travel, see new things, and meet new people. But when he got home it was the greatest feeling. he got to see love ones and friends.

Still to this day Lance's most memorable moment is when he got drafted and getting to travel the country. Today lanc esays that the army force should be honored better because when they come home most of them or unemployed. the government should already have jobs waiting for them when the soldiers get back or have money to support them for awhile.
